Divine protection is real and available. As we hear news from TV, blogs, radio, newspaper and even local community happenings, we are aware of real dangers out there that harm and swallow people. The bible tells us this is the agenda of satan, to steal, kill and to destroy. But we have a powerful God, who is committed to our well-being and divine protection.
There are many attempts and attacks God daily saves us from. When we put our security in him, he is able to keep us in his love and power.
Think about those near misses you’ve had when trying to avert an accident, an illness or even domestic accidents. God is an ever present help in our times of need. It might then seem like some kind of ritual especially since we live in a country where the system isn’t really committed to security of lives and property. It is easy to take for granted the many ways in which God keeps us safe.
Psalm 23;1, The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
Provision is almost the best form of protection. When your needs are met, you can manage your stress and control who/what influences you. We often overlook this. A life that enjoys provision is a life divinely secured.
Psalm 103:4 (ERV) He saves us from the grave and he gives us love and compassion
This is self-explanatory and yet so mind-blowing. A promise no man can give! He saves us and our loved ones from untimely death, poverty and shame.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble
Even if this trouble was caused by your doings, you are assured of his help. You might not be in a country that has or have access to a sophisticated and intelligence security, but God’s security is something you can bank on.
Psalm 91:9-10 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling
When evil people make threats to harm you, reply them with verse 10. You also have the added advantage of protection against diseases, plagues and pandemics.
Psalms 5:12 – For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
God’s favor is what gives us the grace to do what is humanly impossible for us to do. We receive preferential treatment for people to like what you do and cooperate with you. This ingredient is necessary for a victorious life. When God’s power works to shield you with favor, it is a security against loss and overcoming barriers/obstacles in life.
These are some of the numerous ways God’s protection shows up for us. Ponder on these things when praising and giving God thanks. It is easy to forget the unusual ways we enjoy God’s protection through the economic challenges many face, but always carry this thought with you, God is committed to your safety.
