ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 15 December 2019
The Value of Wisdom – Part 2
Scripture Reference: Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 3:13-15 NLT)
You can be a Christian and still walk in foolishness. All through scriptures, we noticed that wisdom is a function of taste. Do you desire it? Do you really want it? It takes a strong desire to enjoy the release of God’s wisdom. Wisdom does not jump on people. Wisdom is acquired. You wouldn’t go for it if you’re not hungry for it. You will not be hungry for it if you don’t value it. Value is a function of worth. The moment you realize what you are losing without wisdom, then you will strongly desire it.
The quality of your decisions determines the quality of your life. But quality decision is a function of wisdom – ability to see ahead, capacity to discern. This is not common!
Daily digest: There is nothing more valuable and secure that you can invest in than godly wisdom.
Prayer: Dear Lord, by Your Spirit, please increase my depth of insight as I study Your Word. Hold me back from leaning on my own understanding, and make me willing to be counted foolish by the world, for then I will have begun to display godly wisdom. It’s in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ that I pray. Amen.
