ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 14 December 2019
The value of wisdom – Part 1
Scripture Reference: Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 3:13-15 NLT)
Those who bring sunshine to others cannot keep it from themselves. It is better to light a candle than cause the darkness. The wiser you are the better you live.
What you respect is what you attract. It is also said that your sense of value determines the flow of virtue to you. I looked at the account of the woman with the issue of blood in the scripture. She placed premium value on the power of God flowing through Jesus’s garment. That sense of value created the flow of God’s power to her. Some others were also touching Jesus’ garment, perhaps for fun. That was their sense of value and that was the only thing they experienced.
Your sense of value for a thing determines what you obtain from that thing. What you respect is what you attract. You need to place a high value on wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing. Nothing gives your work in life colour and beauty like wisdom. Many of the crises or setbacks we experience are a product of a shortage of wisdom. No wonder Solomon said in proverbs chapter 4 that “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And with all your getting, get understanding.”

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your infinite wisdom that is abundantly evident in all that You do. You are the essence of wisdom and the source of it. Whereas You are abounding in wisdom, I am lacking. Please help me to grow in wisdom as I increase in my knowledge and fear of You.
