Scripture Reference: He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. -John 16:14,
2 Kings 6:8-12, the King of Aram was at war with the King of Israel and so always came up with new strategies and ways to set ambushments against Israel. However, those plans never worked because the King of Israel always knew where to avoid these ambushments because Elisha told him. Who do you think told Elisha what had happened in Aram’s court? The Holy Spirit.
The king could not have known, however, because the Holy Spirit was not on him. Elisha knew because he had a relationship with the spirit of a living God.
The lesson here is that God is always on the side of his children and always wants to protect us from our enemies. This is why we must maximize the relationship we have with the Holy Spirit. He wants to help us but like we read yesterday, we have to choose to listen. We have to drain out the noise and find his voice.
Israel won that battle because the Holy Spirit played a major role in helping them strategize and reposition themselves. If the King of Israel had thought that something sounded impossible and had doubted the instruction of the spirit of God, Aram would have won that battle but he wholly obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit.
