Eyes that look are common, eyes that see are rare. Observation is a powerful tool in the school of personal development. Striving to see beyond what obtains in our immediate environment is very crucial to achieving greatness. This is called exposure.
The potential we carry as God’s children is so huge but sometimes, it takes seeing its fulfillment in some other person or place to spur us into our own fulfillment. There are many things we have termed impossible only because we have not seen them happen around us. Perspective is very vital on our journey of greatness and it takes exposure to alter perspective for good.
When God wanted to convince the patriarch Abraham about becoming a father of nations, though he was childless at the time, He brought him out and exposed him to the numerous stars in the sky as a tool of altering his perspective. That singular event changed Abraham’s perspective and helped him see the possibility of being a father.
There are those who struggle through certain areas of their lives and these struggles could be over just by being exposed to another environment and seeing how it works there. Families can improve dramatically by being exposed; Nations can be transformed when their leaders are exposed to other nations that have solved the problems they are still battling with.
Business owners can visit other larger business and observe their processes and corporate mannerisms; if this is done repeatedly, in only a matter of time, their own businesses will also become a reference point for excellence and greatness. Possibilities abound in the world we live in today, we must be willing to break out of our normal cycle and see these possibilities at work all around us.
We will definitely be amazed at how much we can become just by exposing ourselves to a different and more functioning environment. Take a break from your normal routine today and just take a walk, or drive down to one of the nicest places in town and SEE how things can be done excellently; with intense desire, we can pick lessons from these places and affect our own spaces for good. Whatever we are willing to see repeatedly, we are willing to become.
