ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 13 October 2019
Pay diligence to Natural laws
Scriptural Reference: “Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. – Mathew 4:5-11
Balance is the key to life. We must not take scriptures out of context. The fact that God has made provisions for divine protection is not an excuse to take things for granted. This is where many believers unknowingly entered into satanic traps.
Certain things we do can be termed as actually tempting the Lord. We must not carelessly or deliberately break natural laws and just expect God’s promises to come through. This is not wisdom. Wisdom says we should watch and pray. I believe many pray but few are watching in wisdom while still operating spiritual laws. Open your eyes; don’t live carelessly. Don’t over speed while driving; your car is not a spirit, anything could go wrong. Over speeding still kills. Also don’t carelessly leave your homes, doors, etc. open saying God will protect.
Make provision for certain security measures. Be security conscious. It’s not wise to be driving deliberately and carelessly late in the night, especially in our society, and expect everything to go ‘well’. Watch what you eat too! You can’t just eat anything.
Most of the premature death experienced by Christians is self-inflicted. We must take heed unto ourselves. Experiencing long life demands that we cooperate with God, we must be willing to joyfully do our part and see God fulfil His promise of satisfaction.
Daily digest: Read Mathew 4: 1 – 11
Prayer: Father, I cannot make it alone in this world. I need you every second, every minute, every hour in my life. Continue to walk beside me as I progress, and strive to become a better, stronger person in You. Guide my actions, my thoughts, my words, my deeds. Allow me not to yield to temptation.
