Scripture Reference: For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building. -1 Corinthians 3:9 NKJV
Usually, when a company or an entrepreneur needs to get a better outlook or a requirement they do not have the capacity to provide, they look for another individual or
company and work out ways merge with them or become partners. This means that a partner has something you need that you cannot provide.
Jacob needed a change. He was obviously tired of being associated with words like “supplanter” or “deceiver”. It was not entirely his fault that he had a huge track record of swindling his own brother of his birthright. Jacob needed something he could not provide and so hungered to partner with the only One who had the capacity to provide it.
He had to wrestle with God to gain His partnership and of course, Jacob’s name (person, expectations) changed. God transformed him from a person to a nation. This is an example of what God can do if we partner with him. It is totally different from giving our lives to him and making him our Lord and Saviour. Just like those big companies, you have to go to them and ask for their partnership; make them see reasons why they should partner with you and get them to commit.
The good news is that God is already willing to partner with us; all we have to do is ask. How about you partner with God today?
Daily digest: 1 Corinthians 3:1-23
Prayer: Dear God, I understand that there is not a person who partner with you that remains the same. I recognize that confessing you as Lord and Saviour would just be a potential until I activate the partnership with you, such partnership that will truly make you Lord. So today, right now, I confess that you are my partner and you are the leading partner. I truly believe in You Jesus and I give you the right of way and the pride of place. Amen.
