ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 7 December 2019
No Human Can Resist Appreciation
Scripture Reference: “But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14-16
When we need help from people, most times we ask so passionately, and then suddenly, when the deed is done, we just turn off by either not being grateful at all or doing it without passion. This attitude closes the door of favour.
Thank your parents. Nine months was not a joke. Appreciate your boss. Send them an unexpected letter this year. Just thank them for certain things they have done to you. Appreciate your good friends. People are not perfect. But we can look out for certain good they have done and appreciate them. Send your spouse a text today just to thank him or her. Husbands learn to appreciate your wives. Wives appreciate your husbands. Fuel money for the generator is not a joke every day. I know your spouse is not perfect, but we can find one or two things to be grateful for and then we express it.
Have you noticed that when people attend parties and the singer begins to hail them – mentioning their names, it create a current of favour – you want to stand up and spend money, your head begins to “swell” – you’re moved. No human can resist appreciation.
Daily digest: We get the awesome privilege of being the expression of Christ to a world that desperately needs him. What an amazing gift and responsibility. Thanks be to God, indeed.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for showing us that love has no boundaries or end but listens, has patience, compassion, grace and gives without counting the cost. Thank you for granting us a heart for those you love and a willingness to step out in faith and service. Thank you, Lord, for showing us true love can be ours to know and give.
