ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 28 December 2019
Moment of Wisdom – A step of faith
Scripture Reference: “Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, what shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil”. – 2 Kings 4:1-3
Don’t just resign yourself to sickness or a bad marriage. Rise up and do something about it. It could even be to run to the prophet just like the women in 2 Kings 4. In verses 1-7, we are told of a certain wife whose husband had died and left with loads of debts. She was about to lose not just all her material possessions but also her two sons.
What did she do? She ran to the prophet Elisha. She had no clue what she would do but at least she had enough courage to go to seek help, and supernaturally, she was able to pay the debts and sustain her family. She didn’t just sit waiting for her sons to be taken from her.
This should challenge us especially at those times when we don’t seem to have help from man; we should focus on God until we get our answer. The woman eventually got what she desired but she had to take courageous steps in spite of the situation she found herself.
Daily digest: Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.
Prayer: Even though there may be storms ahead, I am going to dance in the rain. Your presence is heaven to me and You alone are worthy of all the praise. I boldly step out in faith today expecting these great blessings in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen!
