ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 31 October 2019
Giving to others
Scriptural Reference: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” Galatians 6:9-10 (KJV)
Let us be a blessing as we have opportunity, particularly to those of the household of faith. Help someone with their education, housing, clothing, feeding etc., as unto the Lord. Help with opportunities without asking for anything in return and as Jesus said in Matthew 6: 4, ‘your father that seeth you in secret will not reward you secretly but reward you in the open’.
The seeds of today are the harvest of tomorrow. Learn to structure your seeds well, be consistent along this line and God’s favour will flow to and through you.
In our church, we give a monthly seed which we call ‘Club 58’ seed. This is not the tithe or project seeds but a seed for the less privileged. The name ‘CLUB 58’ was inspired by Isaiah 58. People come with seeds in cash and in-kind (foodstuff, drugs, cleaning detergents, clothes, shoes, bags, etc.), and we pray over them. This has resulted in the release of favour which our members have enjoyed in their business, careers and homes.
Those who help others as led by the Spirit will never lack divine help from God. It is this order of help from God that we call favour.
Daily digest: Read Psalm 41: 1-3; Isaiah 58: 6-12
Prayer: Dear Lord, bless me so that I can bless the poor, orphans and widows in the name of Jesus.
