ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 19 November 2019
Be Thankful always.
Scriptural Reference: “If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will curse your blessings; yea I have cursed them already because ye do not lay it to heart” – Malachi 2:2
People have unintentionally closed doors of favour because of ingratitude. Whenever anyone does anything for us, we must learn how to celebrate with more enthusiasm than we asked for it. Naturally, when people appreciate acts of favour and kindness, we are moved to want to do more. Gratitude multiplies favour. When we need help from people or from God, at times we ask so passionately and loudly and then suddenly, when we get the favour, we just tune off either by being ungrateful or showing gratitude without passion. This attitude closes the door of favour. Thank your parents, thank your boss, appreciate your friends, even for little things done, and you will never lack favour. Favour grows with gratitude.
So be thankful for the seemingly little progress; this motivates God to perfect your case. God will begin to work on you by pruning, training, teaching and doing whatever is necessary to place you in your dreams. We sometimes look at our dreams, aspirations, etc. and then measure it with what we have now which with the wrong perspective can lead to ingratitude. When we are not thankful, even for the little, we will miss the fullness of blessing.
Be grateful for acts of kindness, not out of necessity, but genuinely and passionately and this will open up more opportunities and blessings. Ingratitude shuts the door of favour and when that happens, a person may begin to experience loss of blessings (disfavour, hostility, setbacks and the likes). Gratitude keeps the door of favour open at all times.
Daily digest: Read John 6: 5-14; Luke 17: 11-19.
Prayer: God is making a nation out of me. I am empowered to prosper. I am blessed with an abundant increase of favour and God is making my name famous and distinguished. Amen
