ACHIEVE GREATNESS WITH YEMI AND BIMBO DAVIDS
Day 10 November 2019
Thanksgiving: Key to Multiplication – Part 1
Scriptural Reference: “And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name, says the Lord of hosts…” – Malachi 2:1-2
Until you are grateful for the little, it won’t amount to much. When you appreciate God for what you have, things begin to appreciate. When you thank Him for the 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes, rather than saying ‘what is this among so many’, then God will give you the capacity to feed the 5000.
Loss is the cure for ingratitude. I know you are not where you want to be but you are not where you used to be. Thank Him for the seemingly little shift and He will perfect what He has started. While the disciples were still complaining about 5 loaves and 2 fish, Jesus took it and gave thanks and it multiplied.
Thank Him genuinely for what He has provided knowing fully well that He is able to complete what He has started. We must also remember that when we reach the end of our rope, God is there to take over. But it is with the key of thanksgiving and praise that we enlist divine intervention. Thanksgiving expressed through anointed praise and singing creates a divine intervention. This was the key Jehoshaphat employed when he came to his wit’s end when several kings with their armies rose up against him. He turned to God for help and they began to sing and praise God, divine power was released and we see the overflow of victory and material blessing.
Daily digest: Only the grateful becomes and remains great. You cannot move from blessing to blessing, from glory to higher levels of glory, without acknowledging the acts of God.
