Topic: Build Healthy Relationships
“Whenever you are trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others’ throats. Real wisdom, Gods wisdom begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others”- James 3:16 – 17(MSG)
God usually brings people our way to help us fulfill destiny. One is too small to achieve greatness as we need people around us to maximize this great destiny of ours. Hence, we must learn to value people; our spouses, colleagues at work and business partners, if we must make progress in life.
Destinies can be dislocated because of broken relationships. In Genesis 13:1 – 12, Lot strove with Abraham and he did not end up well. Imagine where Lot would have been if he stuck to Abraham. When God wants to bless you, he strategically places someone beside you. And that person at times might not look like our expectation. See the story of Naaman, commander of the army of the King of Aram in 2 Kings 5, who received his miracle of healing because he heeded the counsel provided by a maid.
In building relationships, we must avoid envy and strife. Fight strife like you are fighting Satan. Don’t let little disagreements linger, it can separate couples. Ensure unity among your employees, settle differences with business partners, forge and manage genuine collaborations.
Ultimately, seek to build healthy relationships.
Prayer:
Father, guide me in seeking positive relationships that will influence my destiny for good. I resist envy and strive and commit to building healthy partnerships in Jesus name.
