Topic: It’s Being Tended
“Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. Proverbs 27:23
I heard a story a few months ago about a man that invested in tomato business. After the initial land clearing and preparation, he planted the seeds, and the growth of the seedlings was poor. He began to wonder what happened.
Meanwhile, another farmer that had his farm close to his also planted tomato seeds that were flourishing. After much deliberation and pondering, he went to his neighbor to find out what he was doing that was making his seedlings do so well while his wasn’t. He didn’t hesitate to let him know about the irrigation, and the regulation of the amount of water to be administered morning and evening. As soon as he went back, and put the information to work, things changed.
We need to ask questions, travel to places to observe, be exposed and thus, improve.
