Topic: Principle of Blessing the Less Privileged
“Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses”- Proverbs 28: 27
When was the last time you helped someone that does not have as much as you do? Truth is that no matter how little you think you have, there most likely is someone that wishes he was in your position. Yes, your position may seem as nothing to you. But to that other person, it’s a prayer point and a breakthrough!
Look around you… there’s always someone to help in any little way. Your outstretched arm can bring a little relief to that person’s situation. Start where you are today and make this a habit and you will see how God will uplift you and bless you more!
See it this way: If I help your child one way or the other, there’s the tendency that your disposition towards me will be that of goodwill. It is very likely that if you are in a position to assist me anytime in the future, you would not hesitate. Why? Simply because I helped your child in the past. This is the same way God has “goodwill” towards anyone that helps any of his children. He considers it a debt he is obligated to repay.
Wouldn’t you rather lend to God?
Daily digest: “If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord – and he will repay you!” – Proverbs 19:17
Prayer:
I am kind and generous. My arm is outstretched to those around me and I lend assistance/relief in any way I can. So help me God!
