Topic: God funds His Vision
“Don’t worry and ask yourselves, “Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?” Only people who don’t know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows that you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.” – Matthew 6:31-33
The word ‘provision’ or ‘provide’ is used frequently when speaking about finances. It means to have needs supplied for. The provision originally Latin can be divided into two parts – ‘pro’ and ‘vision’. Pro means ‘for’, so provision can be translated simply as for vision. When God gives a vision, He is obligated to fund it. Whenever God’s vision is being carried out, all funding provided for that vision by God must find its way there.
For example, the ambassador of a country like the USA represents his/her home country in another host country and the primary objective is to represent and defend the interest of his/her home nation. The interest of the ambassador’s home nation is paramount more than anything else. Consequently, the ambassador is funded from the home country, regardless of the economic situation in the host country.
In the same vain, we are representatives of God’s kingdom on earth. We are ambassadors for Christ (II Cor5:20). God’s kingdom is foremost on His mind, the expansion and spread of the Kingdom, therefore anyone that is seen to represent and defend the interest of God’s kingdom on earth is funded and supported by the Kingdom regardless of the economy on the earth.
Father, I receive grace to represent and defend your interests here on earth. I, therefore, enjoy abundant provision and my needs are well catered for as I am blessed to be a blessing in Jesus name.
