Scripture Reference: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
The initial stage of many relationships are the most energetic, a preacher calls it the “Honeymoon stage”. However what happens when all the emotions fizzle out?
Love becomes a decisive and intentional act. It leaves the spheres of emotional rush and euphoria into a deliberate decision to get your hands dirty and make you relationship work.
You see, Jesus showed the greatest act of love when there was no likelihood of us reciprocating it. He knew that we were most likely going to shove it in his face; but guess what; He did it still. He died for us.
We need to understand that it is not love until it is given away without hopes of getting it back. It is not love until you decide to forgive before knowing what the offense is, let alone receiving an apology.
For a fact, love could make you look stupid or paint you as an insufferable doormat; but of a truth, with love you always win; because love never fails!
Decide today to love your spouse based on a decision you choose to stand by! “A simple act of love can make an extraordinary thing happen”.
